Insitu Ozone point-of-use systems

Ozomax INSITU Ozone POU systems are ideal for treating waters containing TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) concentrations of 500 ppm or greater. These systems can treat up to 1 gpm (4 L/min) and are comprised of the following elements:

  • 1) INSITU Ozone generator
  • 2) Retention chambers
  • 3) Pre-filters
  • 4) Post-filters

 

 

All components are pre-connected for ease of installation.

  • How do I know the POU system will be capable of treating my water?

The size and number of each of treatment system component is determined from the analysis of the water to be treated. More particularly, when sizing an INSITU Ozone POU system listed in the table below need to be known. Based on this analysis our engineers will be able to recommend the right system for you.

  • How do I know the POU system will be capable of treating my water?

Based on the analysis of your water Ozomax engineers can size the INSITU POU system needed to provide safe drinking water. In general, the POU treatment process is as follows:

Insitu Ozone POU

  • a) Water is connected to the inlet of the unit.
  • b) A pressure switch (1) detects a water demand and powers the INSITU ozone generator (2).
  • c) The water flows through a sediment filter (3) to remove any suspended particles and proceeds into the ozone reaction chamber (2).
  • d) The ozone reaction chamber is sized to provide enough ozone contact time to render the water safe to drink.
  • e) The water then exits the ozone reaction chamberand flows through an activated carbon filter (4).

When the water tap is closed the systems stops automatically. An air vent (5) eliminates excess gas.
