Water treatment ozone residential systems

Gaseous Ozone point-of-use systems

Water treatment ozone residential systems

Ozomax Gaseous Ozone POU systems can treat up to 1 gpm (4 L/min) and are comprised of the following elements :

  • 1) Ozone generator
  • 2) Retention chambers
  • 3) Pre-filters
  • 4) Post-filters

Retention chambers and filters are pre-mounted on an L-bracket for ease of installation.

  • How do I know the POU system will be capable of treating my water?

The size and number of each of treatment system component is determined from the analysis of the water to be treated. More particularly, when sizing a Gaseous Ozone POU system the parameters listed in the following table need to be known. Based on this analysis our engineers will be able to recommend the right system for you.

Water Analysis Required

  • How does the Gaseous Ozone POU system work?

Based on the analysis of your water Ozomax engineers can size the POU system needed to provide safe drinking water. In general, the POU treatment process is as follows:

Gaseous Ozone POU

  • a) Water is connected to the inlet of the unit.
  • b) Water flows through the flow switch (1) which sends a signal to start the ozone generator. The ozone generator may have an O3 output ranging from 500 mg/hr to 3000mg/hr depending on the model.
  • c) Ozone is then siphoned by the venturi (2) and mixes with the water.
  • d) The water enters retention chambers (3) & (4) which provide a sufficient contact time between the ozone and the contaminants found in the water.
  • e) The water then exits the retention chambers and flows through sediment filter (5) and then through an activated carbon filter (6).

When the water tap is closed the systems stops automatically. An air vent is placed on retention tank (4) to eliminate excess gas.
